The Model of the Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine

The EM Model serves as the basis for content specifications in all ABEM exams. The 2022 version is currently being used.

2022 EM Model

Every three years, the EM Model Review Task Force updates the EM Model with informed changes.* Their work resulted in the 2022 version which will be used to develop examinations beginning with the 2024 Qualifying Examination and 2025 In-training Examination.
