EMS Week: Rise to the Challenge

Thank you to all ABEM-certified EMS physicians whose work and expertise makes a positive impact on individuals, families, and the community in which they serve. This week brings well-deserved recognition of your efforts.

In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation’s communities. National EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine’s frontline. This year, EMS Week is celebrated May 15-23, and its theme is “Rise to the Challenge.”
