In 2021, ABEM adopted a Code of Professionalism because it “believes that patients are entitled to quality emergency care delivered in a professional manner.” The Code goes on to list specific behaviors

Continuing Certification Requirements: ABEM provides a two-week grace period to meet year-end requirements.
Requirements due December 31, 2024, must be met by 11:59 PM ET on January 15, 2025.
