Approved Program Guidelines
In cooperation with other ABMS Boards, we’ve approved program models of overlapping training that reduce total training time. Below are the guidelines for other training programs that can be combined with Emergency Medicine training:

- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Internal Medicine & Critical Care Medicine
- Pediatrics

Applications for New Programs
Our philosophy on combined training programs is that they should support an existing and commonly pursued pathway rather than trying to establish an attractive new career path. Proposals for new combined training programs can be submitted using the links below:
