ABEM's Emergency Medicine Continuing Certification Process
Starting in 2021, all new and renewing EM ABEM-certified physicians were moved to a 5-year certification cycle and annual fee. This structure allows for more continuous learning to help you and your practice stay up-to-date in the field.
For EM, continuing certification requirements include the following to be completed every 5 years:
- (4) MyEMCert Modules
- (2) Improvement in Medical Practice Activities
- Compliance with ABEM’s Policy on Professionalism and Professional Standing
- Annual Fee payment
